Meet Belinda Hamilton
Belinda Hamilton creates stories and illustrations filled with warmth, imagination, humor, and heart for children and families.
She is the author and/or illustrator of LORD, WHY IS MY CROWN CATTYWAMPUS??:
Living the Royal Life You Were Created For, Go Away!, Catz & Dawgz – No Dawgz Allowed!, and Chasing Reagan, and co-author of Dear Bootsie. Her illustration credits also include Goodnight God: Bedtime Prayers for Boys and Goodnight God: Bedtime Prayers for Girls, published by Barbour Kidz.
Belinda is also the illustrator of the award-winning titles The Magic Blanket and TeaTime Under the Hyperion Tree, as well as the Moo Cow Counts and Moo Cow the Juice Cow series.
Known for blending whimsical storytelling with expressive, memorable imagery, Belinda continues to develop creative projects that inspire curiosity, laughter, and encouragement in young readers. She and her husband, Johnnie, enjoy the quiet beauty of Lake Conroe, where she finds inspiration for many of her stories and illustrations
Meet Ruth Wheat
Ruth Wheat describes herself as a daughter of Christ, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She looks for joy in everything she does and was blessed with a positivity that keeps her looking on the "bright side"! She loves spending time with her family, writing, speaking to women's groups, and baking decorative cookies. Her 35-year career provided her with the opportunity to plan and execute corporate events. Though event planning can be crazy stressful sometimes, she finds her reward when she sees the participants smiling, laughing, learning, and connecting.
During her career, she co-authored “Help! My Wonder Woman Cape is Caught in the Vacuum!” with her longtime friend Brenda Vicente. During her research, she was able to speak to women both domestically and internationally and learned that they all had busy lives and often found little time for themselves. During this time, she felt God tugging at her heartstrings, letting her know that she needed to create opportunities for women to gather, connect on a social and spiritual level, and re-energize the wondrous women God created them to be.
At a neighborhood ladies’ Bible study, she shared her heart’s desire with the women in the group. There was so much support for this idea! After this experience, Ruth knew that this was the path she needed to take. Not only did she have encouragement from this amazing group of women, but she also learned that Belinda Hamilton, one of her Bible study sisters, also felt led to develop women’s ministry materials and coordinate retreats. Voila, they started this endeavor together! Isn’t God great?!
Ruth Wheat is passionate about creating meaningful, faith-filled resources that encourage women to grow closer to God and embrace the joy and purpose He has for their lives. Through the development of Bible studies, ladies’ retreat materials, devotionals, and inspirational books, Ruth shares heartfelt encouragement rooted in Scripture and real-life experiences.
Her resources are designed to help women deepen their faith, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and connect with one another in authentic and uplifting ways. From thoughtfully planned retreat experiences to practical Bible studies and inspiring books for women, Ruth’s desire is to create materials that refresh hearts, spark spiritual growth, and remind women that God’s grace, hope, and encouragement are always available to them.
